Avery Hoffman You might try a Game cam- these are motion activated cameras used by hunters that record short videos when they sense movement. My dad uses these around his house and barns in case anyone comes around.
What’s one thing you don’t want to change about the post-COVID19 world?
Surely there have been some crazy changes in 2020 that some of us actually like.
Is there anything you hope will be a permanent new way of life, even after the world gets back to normal?
I used to have to take a bus into downtown that took 50 minutes each way. My tech job moved to full time remote and it has still remained effective. I find working from home also allows me to more efficiently manage my life. If I want to make a grocery run or water the garden at lunch I can. I don't miss the 2 hours a day of my life on the road. Would like to see working from home stay the same.
Steve Lynch - oh man, that is brutal.
When I discovered this blog post from Mr Money Mustache a few years back, it really opened my eyes to how costly commuting really is (and it's insane). Even shaving a mile or two off your daily commute can go a long way when you multiply it by all the years you'll have to travel that distance (the time, the wear and tear, the gas, etc). Even when you're taking a bus... who wants to spend an extra second on public transportation anyway?!
I'm glad your situation has improved. Hopefully you can find a way to make that permanent.
Seth Williams Ironically, MMM lives in my same home town.
I've actually enjoyed not shaking hands with people. That odd social tradition could go away forever and I would be fine with that.
