I have an agreement to purchase my first piece of land. I want to close through a title company since it’s my first time. Does the location of the title company matter? If so, should I find one close to where I live, the seller lives, or where the land’s located?
Usually my title companies just has to be located within the state where the subject property is located. Sometimes they'll specialize in certain areas of the state... so in those cases, I'll just start by googling the state and county, and then "title company".
